Until one hundred years ago the Three Peaks in the Dolomite mountains were practically unknown. Today they are a true tourist icon, with thousands of people pilgrimaging to their feet every year. This process took over 30 years. The story of this transformation is told by filmmaker Andreas Pichler, who originates from a place very close to the Three Peaks, using a very personal form of discourse. The film includes worldwar one archive material, super 8 family material and animations.
